About
Most support doesn’t start in a clinic. It starts with someone noticing.
Mental Health International exists so that ordinary people, anywhere, feel equipped to notice, ask and stay with someone until the right help is in place.

What we believe
A few things we hold to.
Confidence is teachable
People hold back because they fear saying the wrong thing. Practice changes that.
Training is not treatment
We equip helpers. We never position our learners as clinicians.
Local matters
Law, language, culture and services differ. A global standard must honour that.
Honesty builds trust
We say plainly what is planned, what is in review and what is ready.
